Street Bob exhaust on a lowrider

Street Bob exhaust on a lowrider
I have a riding buddy of mine that just changed the exhaust out on his new street bob. I found out that he is just going to throw his original exhaust in the scrap pile. I had a street bob and I liked the sound of the exhaust on it a whole lot better than the 2 into 1 trumpet that Harley put on the lowrider. Does anyone here know if it would be compatible with my bike? Will I have to remap it or anything? Am I just overthinking it? Does anyone know the reason behind Harley putting the 2 into 1 exhaust on the lowrider in the first place? I know it's a lot of questions but my ol lady will hang my ***** from a nail in the garage if I mess this bike up.

Thanks. I didn't think about that. I just went out and looked at the lowrider. It does have a different style of support bracket. I can fabricate one to match the one on the street bob. Any idea about the possibility of needing to remap it?

I put the stock 13 Street Bob set up to the 14 Lowrider. Just used the brackets (2) The bracket just under the timing cover is a son of a gun to remove. Three torx screws and abut an inch of clearance between it and the frame. Used a 1/4 wrench and a torx bit. It is the mounting plate for a clamp that holds the front head pipe. The Low rider does not use a clamp for the front head pipe. Since it is 2 into 1 there is only one clamp at the junctionfor both head pipes.
The low rider set up is mounted on the wall as art work. Just did not like it's look.
No remap needed. The rear bracket is not the same either.

LowRider289 - Yes the hex head bolt would be much easier. But I had the torx screws from the original set up. So being cheap and lazy I did not try to find the right length and thread hex head bolt.
AQA101---That looks good with that muffler. Just the right amount of chrome.

Your bike looks pretty good set up that way. I ended up with V&H slip ons on my street bob. I liked that set up enough that i never went any farther that that with the exhaust.
