Hello, I just wanted to ask, what are some good, comfortable, aftermarket seats for the street bob? I test drove a street bob and the seat was hard and uncomfortable. I'm 6'1 260 lbs. can you guys comment and post pictures of your bike with the seat please. Thanks
Check out Revzilla.com. They sell most manufacturer's seats. The cool thing is they have many videos describing most of the items they sell. If you choose to buy from them they have a liberal return policy too.
They also sell helmets, exhaust and lots of other items.
An excellent source for info and purchasing.
I used a '12 Switchback take-off seat. I found it on E-bay for $75. Its way better than the stock '08 FXDB seat. The wife agrees so everything is good.
Mustang Vintage Solo. I can ride all day with it. I don't know if they still have the policy, but if you buy direct you have 10 days to decide if it works for you or not.
You're a tad larger than me so you might want to look at the Wide version.
Stock street bob seat sucks...it is like sitting on a plank of wood. I'm running a superglide seat I got off Craigslist for $80. It's actually pretty comfortable.
Mustang Wide Vintage Solo... 5'9", 220... over 50K miles on the seat, all kind of weather and it's still in great shape.... I can ride all day, and have. It will sit you back about an inch, and down maybe 1/2 to 3/4. Very comfortable.
I'm 6'2, my seat is from Sick Saddles and it's great.
I have the same Sick Saddles seat, with the combination gel/foam and it's awesome. Broke it in on the ride from Sturgis back to Mass. Super comfortable.
