Murphy was an optimist, so I'll assume the worse scenario.
I had the digital speedo/tach (HD 70900100C) on my Breakout which I traded for a 2015 Street Bob. Got all my mods installed on FXDB and finally installed my digital speedo off Breakout.

Getting the vin err no matter how many times I d/c battery fuse. Also retaining previous mileage from Breakout. It's not copying info from ecm and no countdown on "b" odometer to mate to bike.

I can only assume this expensive bastage is married to the long gone Breakout and will never maye to my Dyna?

The new can/bus bikes don't need the data syn adapter cable and should copy ecm upon installation.

 

I just got mine yesterday.
Yea, these are married to the bike after ~30 miles or so.
If you installed on a new bike, I can only assume you are SOL.

 

Nope, its married to the first bike, till death do you part. Unlike with humans, there is no divorce. Might as well take it out back and shoot it.
