Default 07 Street Bob 47" Rake I need a bigger gas tank

Hey folks,
I've tried navigating this site for an hour and can't get anywhere.

I raked out my Street Bob and still have the stock 4.8 gal tank.
I like something bigger and have been looking all over.

Any leads you can help me with?
PS. had to correct my original post I was incorrect in listing my capacity.

Thanks!

The stock Dyna tanks are 4.8 gallons except the Fat Bob which is 5 gallons. Never in Dyna history have they had 3.5 gallon tanks. A Street 500/750 have 3.5 gallon tanks. The bigger Peanut tank of the Sportsters is 3.3 gallons. The XL1200C's are 4.5.

Yeah that...

If your tank is truly 3.5 gallons then put a stock one on.
You've been told a couple of times that the stock one is 4.8 gallons now...

That rake didn't come without some pretty decent fabrication skills. Make one. Cut yours up and make it work. Will take fitting; there's a lot in the way, but I'm sure you can figure something out.

Maybe the OP thinks he has a 3.5 gallon tank because he is adding fuel when the "Lo" shows up on his screen. Mine usually comes on when it hits the 10 miles remaining, but I have put around 20 or so miles on with that screen. Also, when I do add fuel at the "Lo" point, it's usually between 3.5 and 4 gallons I put in. If the OP is averaging 3.5 at his fill-ups, I can see why he would think it's a 3.5g tank. Anyways, OP, your bob does have a 4.8g tank.

yep your correct I was wrong in stating 3.5...
perhaps I would do better in loading a real conservative map on the power commander on long trips...

Thanks for all the replies, you folks are correct it's a 4.8 gal tank not 3.5 I mis quoted,
perhaps I would do better in loading a real conservative map on the power commander on long trips...
I think I'll just fab one using my original and some other parts off another.
Thanks again!
