FXDLi kept dying on me this morning
Left the house this morning headed to coffee shop, and then to work. Get about 1.5 miles into 3 mile ride, city streets 40 to 50 mph. Bike just dies. I pull over, start her back up, get 300 yards, she dies. Start her up, get 50 yards, repeat: 30 yards. Then she just cranks. Let her sit for 60 seconds, start her up, really loud back fire, and she's good to go. Sat at coffee shop with buddies for about 45 minutes, and decide I'd better get her home, which is much closer than work. Half way home, same story, including starting up with loud back fire after sitting 60 seconds, and finally getting her home.
Checked for diagnostic codes. There are none. There has been no recent work or changes to the bike.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Was thinking it might me a fuel injector or fuel pump issuet? Just guesses really. Gas tank was 3/4 full.
Thanks.

You could have a Crank sensor that is going bad.. It's common the EFI unit to not see an error. It could also be the fuel quick connector at the bottom of the tank. It will cut fuel and the motor will bounce around enough during cranking for fuel to start flowing. Replacing the line going to the tank can correct it but times you have to replace the fitting the in the bottom of the tank.
