Default Clutch lever vibration! Who has fixed?!

Every HD I've ever had has had a wobbly, vibrating clutch lever. At idle and even on acceleration, my clutch lever shakes like a chihuahua in a blizzard. It's really the only noticeable vibration in my handle bars, and I am tired of riding with one finger on it. Has anyone shimmed theirs, or is there an even easier fix?

I'm agree that the clutch lever shake it annoying, and mine made a rattling noise too. I shimmed mine with a very thin nylon washer but the dealer took it off when I had the bike in for the 15K service. I haven't put one back in yet because it's not as bad as it was.

Just replaced my clutch cable and noticed a plastic sleeve on the inside where the pin comes through. Maybe that needs to be replaced, because mine doesn't vibrate.

I once had an after-market clutch lever that had excessive shaking and rattling. My fix was to double up on the little "anti-rattle" spring (about $2) underneath the lever. Might work for you.

I never noticed. Probably all I'll see next time I ride. Thanks.

It doesn't get much easier than shimming and/or replacing the plastic pin bushing.

Okay I just fixed my front brake lever from rattling. I used a flat washer to go around the bolt that holds lever in place but had to grind the washer thinner so it could fit in between the lever and the master cylinder housing it worked perfectly. My brake system i's not stock I have J B so I had a Allen bolt to fit through the washer. I put the washer on the under side of the lever as to hide it in case it would be visible. I will be doing the same for the clutch which is not a Allen bolt but a pin. Should still work. Hope that helps. The rattling is gone!

I'd recommend using a plastic shim/bushing/washer. Just cut up a plastic deli meat container or milk bottle or something. A steel washer could prematurely wear your lever and/or housing. Just my opinion.
