Hey guys. I've got a 2007 FXDSE. Trying to put on PC3.
I can't get the electrical caddy box to slide out of the frame. It's hooked at the bottom by two felt covered electrical cables that look pretty beefy. They won't let it go so that I can get behind it. Anyone done this?
Also, where dynojet says to mount the PCIII - right below the ECM....there is already something there. A black plastic relay looking thing. Anyone have ideas on this?
If I can't do it, is it safe to drive it to a shop? An HD dealer about 40 minutes awayis listed as a Dynojettuner, so I assume they do installs as well...My only mod is a Rinehart Exhaust system.
on my street bob I could only get the elec box out very little but got it out just enough to plug all the cables together. I also did not mount mine under the ecm I pushed mine down in the hole under the seat so it would be easy to get to if I needed to load another map. I dont know what that is under your ecm unless maybe you have the alarm siren and thats where the dealer put it. I dont believe you need a map unless you do the ac mod too but I may be wrong. I know pcIII does not have a map for just pipes alone so you might want to wait until you have the ac mod to install the PCIII
I did the S.E. Stage I A/C, PCIII & Big Radius exhaust all at the same time. Dealer installed everything & put it on the Dyno. He suggested not to use the A/C cover I had bought & keep the stock one. They also put on the Sundowner seat but couldn't put on the sissy bar because of not having the hardware or something & now I've got to go back. I rode for about a day with what looked like a big *** couch strapped to my ride. I couldn't take it anymore looking like that & put the stock seat back on. That's when I couldn't get it on & the PCIII was in the way on top. Didn't want the seat to crush it either. Also took off that football cover & put on the cover I had bought. I was just afraid after unplugging it, I might have lost something.
