Default Low Rider S battery tender lead

Hey all. Those with Low Rider S's, have you figured out how to plug in the battery tender lead that is factory installed under the left side cover without removing the left side cover? There's no opening when the left side cover is mounted to route the lead out. It's a pain in the *** to have to remove the left side cover everytime I want to hook up the battery tender.

I hope that you get an good answer soon on this cause I'm worrying with that too. I can't find a hole to stick it out through either. If it was a bit longer we could stick it out and reroute. (The tender wire)...

Ok so hard to see, but just above my finger you can feed it through, then run it under and I front of your seat on the left side (see pic below) and zip tie it there

Now if it is too short, you can always buy a longer one, and run it through the back of the battery tray, and do the same thing. Then either use the original for something else (cell phone charger or something), or disconnect it all together. Hope this helps.

By the way, it doesn't look like it will fit, but it will. I did it just to see if it would work and had plenty of room to hook up a charger. 17 fxdls.

I just bolted a new one on the battery and fed it out so it hangs in the traditional place. Cost me $3 or so.

I'd just reroute mine if I ever used it. I still haven't put mine away yet. My 15 Fxdb had it routed out of the box already

You can live with a ugly plug floating in space, or you can add a lighter like this on its own fused circuit...

And now you can use that port for a battery tender or a USB adapter for you phone, laptop, or even light a cigarette with it.
