Foward ext controls need help

Hey guys
New Harley owner , longtime rider. I have a 98 Harley FXDL Fatboy Dyna low rider..love the bike but I am having problems finding a Forward Control kit ext. for my bike. I have run across several but they really do not specify that it works for my bike. Any suggestions would be a greatly appreciated or link to the actual parts.

A fatboy low rider, that must be a rare motorcycle. Never seen one, post a picture...

He's right Bear Rider if your bike is FXDL you don't have a Fatboy, you have a Low Rider.
Can't use the words together, FatBoy is FLSTF (softtail)
Anyways, are you saying you have forwards and want an extention kit,,
or are you looking to dump the mid controls and go for forwards?

I have Mid and looking to go forward , I am 6'4 nad the controls I need forward

Harley stock forwards for 91-05 are your best bet. I'm not sure they make extended for us evos as it's almost a 20 year old bike. The newer dynas 06 and up are not only bigger frame wise but there's a bigger aftermarket for that kind of stuff.

I have forwards on mine and they only move your feet about a foot forward. At 6'4" you might be a little tight.

I found ext on eBay but doesn't specify the exact model for the extension it's just his Harley 95 through 98.... Any extension would be an improvement from what it is now

If they extend the stock forwards they should fit 91-05 about. The mids would be removed and replaced entirely by pulling the primary and clutch, then putting a plug in.

An extension should include the brackets needed to move them forward as well as extended shift and brake shafts.

They're all over the place dude, just shop for "forwards 98 Low Rider";
https://www.google.com/search?q=forw...dyna+low+rider
I used the Kuryakyn 9063 on my 09 FXD cause I'm short legged but the mids where still killing my knees.
They're all really easy to install, did mine with common tools in just a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.
Your taller so the 9064 would be better,,(but shop)
http://www.kuryakyn.com/products/220/forward-controls
Here's the same "kit" $40 cheaper alone with several other brands that are cheaper;
https://www.denniskirk.com/harley-da...rols-and-parts
Maybe you can't find them in a search because of the Fatboy/lowrider confusion?

I should add that if your searching for a used kit you must find one for dyna models,, FL models are way different,, no softtail and/or touring model will work on your bike,, the engine and brake are different.

If you have access to the materials and tools, you can make extenders. I saw a pair of 1/4 inch or 5/8 inch steel plate with holes drilled or punched in them advertised as forward control extenders for a FatBob for sale at a swap meet this past summer. I almost bought them but there was a question about fitment on my FXD and he was asking $25.

I just figured that if I wanted to try that, I would make my own. The plate was something like 2x3 inch rectangular with two holes to mount the plate on the frame and two holes to move the whole forward controls mounting an inch or so forward. Didn't look like rocket engineering or space materials, just a strong thick hunk of steel with holes in it.
