Default Low Rider not starting

Hi All. I am not sure what to do now. Engine turns over and plenty of power from battery. Fuel pump will not prime. Started around christmas time, started her up and hit something (I may not have put up my kickstand) and she cut off. pulled over, checked everything and got her to start up again after a few minutes. Happened once more after that and then the last time I needed a tow because i could not get her going. So I either have a short somewhere that I cannot find, or the pump is bad. She threw an error code p1004 which pointed to a pinched wire, but I cant find any. Fuses are fine, relays seem fine and everything that should be connected is. Error code this morning was b1005. I really cannot afford to take her in to a shop right now, so any advice, please heap it on. and yes, i have the service manual and the parts book.

This is for a 2006 Dyna and the bike is currently not starting at all?
The only reference I can find to P1004 is system relay contacts closed.
You've physically pulled the fuses and checked them?
As a simple place to start have you tried swapping the start relay over with the system relay.
If you have a system relay related issue, your fuel pump will not prime and you will have no spark. So check for spark also, remember that there needs to be plugs in the heads to generate a spark so use a spare one resting on the head.
If there is also no spark as well as the pump not running, this might help verify the system relay or wiring to the relay is at fault and therefore narrow things down.

Do you have a multi meter to check voltages and resistance?

so i just went back out to check some other things. what i can determine now is that when i turn the key there is a click below the ECM, not sure if this is normal. i pulled the system and starter relay and the click did not happen. replace the starter relay and no click, add in the system relay and the click happens. maybe that is the problem, there is a fair amount of rust on the system relay. if someone has a cross reference to get one from an auto parts store, please let me know... otherwise have to order and i am not exactly known for my patience...

All fuses are fine, pulled every single one.
i just tried using the old starter relay (bought a replacement) and nothing changed other than no click. the starter relay has five blades and the system relay has four blades, might that make a difference?

One of the blades is redundant and it shouldn't make a difference.
The rust on the relay is obviously not a good thing. Relays quite often fail. Make sure the socket it goes into in the fuse board is clean and has no corrosion.
Why not take the system relay to the local store and see if they've a replacement, it's a fairly common part.
Without having a meter that kinda reduces what you can do just now.
But....
As a bit of a hack to see if you can get the pump running temporarily to see if your on the right lines of solving the problem, you could try jumping a wire across Terminal 30 (blue/grey wire) of the system relay which is a constant live and terminal 87 (yellow/green wire) which is the wire that provides power to the pump and coil and injectors. This would effectively bypass the relay and provide power directly to the fuel pump.
Looking at the fuse block and where the system relay is located, you'll see 5 slots that the relay goes into.
3 with the slots facing vertically. Ignore these.
The other 2 slots are orientated horizontally. Terminal 30 is the very top one and should be constant ignition live and the one in the centre below it is terminal 87.
It's not an ideal thing to try but jumping across these should run the pump up with the ignition on unless it's a problem with the pump( which in relative terms is quite rare) or wiring to the pump.

hope that helps

Replaced the system relay today and still nothing. I do not have the space to be able to remove the tank and tear it down (apartment living). Unfortunately I am going to have to sacrifice and somehow get her to a shop for repair. Thanks to all that offered advice. Greatly appreciate it. Peace.
