Default Sissy Bar for Low Rider S FXDLS

Fellow Riders,

Just picked up a slightly used LRS (From Mancuso Central in Houston) and its sick...however, I'm used to saddle bags on my old Victory CCT, but refuse to go with bags again. I am using a backpack and it aint cutting it.

Searching for Low Rider S specific sissy bars comes with disappointing results. I was wondering what you guys are doing to solve the fix. I am not interested in the detachable, and I would prefer something I could do at home without having to convert a ton of things.

Suggestions?

That's something I've added to my "list" also.

I am well trained in the lost art of "Google"

Remember you can search for regular low rider or street bob - same *** end for these purposes.

Bowman Welding has several different bars available for the LRS. They're not quick disconnect and their workmanship is first rate

Here's a 7": http://www.ebay.com/itm/152302504339

And here's a 16": http://www.ebay.com/itm/152114408260

I used a Bowman Welding 16" on my Wide Glide, it was flawlessly manufactured!

Don't know what a LR S sissy bar looks like..., but I have a stock bar off a 13 WG (collecting dust) you can have..., if you make it work

I know this is an old thread but has any one found a way to get a detachable sissy bar without having to relocate the license plate?

There isn’t a way. Unfortunately a detachable sissy bar requires dock points, and the dock points mount with the four fender bolts. Since the lights/plate occupy two of those bolts, they have to be moved.

i did fabricate a setup that ran inside the fender and allowed the lights and plate assembly to mount right behind the fender. It only cost me about 8 dollars for flat stock, and about two hours to build and powdercoat.
