Now that I have a couple thousand miles on it, I can give an honest review.


I have '13 Switchback with 32K miles on it. I installed the Hayden at 30K with Redline primary oil that I always use. I would say the first 500miles almost seemed like nothing had really improved, maybe just a tad quieter on shifting, typical break in period. Now I can say it was well worth the $ and the hour to install it. The first gear clunk is almost completely gone, shifts smoother and before it was a real pain to find neutral, now it is much easier, not sure if it was just this bike with that issue cause my other bikes never seemed to have the neutral problem. Overall very happy, going to pull it apart at 35K and inspect it to make sure all internals are good. Hope this helps if you were on the fence about getting one. I think I only paid like $110 on Amazon for it.

I am interested to this after your inspection. In particular the condition of the shoe, I put one in and in 5k miles it came out. I think, and Hayden somewhat confirmed the springs were at fault. I sent them an e-mail 1/20/17 and haven't heard from them. The primary chain was super tight and making a noise that was louder than the engine noises. I've got Hayden units on both of my Dynas and they didn't make that noise.
