Default 2006 FXDB..dual speedos possible

Hi, I was interested in running 2 speedometers, 1 in the center console and 1 on the handlebars like a sportster runs. Is this possible to do if I were to splice the wires and tap in to the speedo wires/harness and run it up to the speedo on the bars.

I've got the Dakota digital and matching flush HD LED gas gauge on the console and tank. I wanted to add the OEM speedo and mount it on the bars...

is the wire splicing a possible option? or is there any other better way to do this.

thanks for your help.

I've never done it but I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine.

I would think splicing would be an option. However if it is, you should be able to find some sort of "adapter kit" to make it easier. I assume it would be a jumper harness similar to how the accessory connectors are set up. I think if you have a wiring diagram for the speedo, that will tell you a lot. If you do, post it if you can.

Just exactly WHY would you want to do this? Makes zero sense to me.

Its so I can keep all of the digital blue LED gauges on the console/dash uniform and have the extra analog speedo in driving view/sight. I run an FXRT fairing with 14" bars.

well, let say the digital will be used as a tach...and the analog will be used as a dedicated speedometer.

all I wanted to know was if I could run both.

thanks
