Default Chrome on polished aluminum annv. model

Hey wrenchers and investors... got a friend that wants me to chrome up the engine on a 2003 fxd anniv. model, that has polished (sorta) aluminum engine covers.

I'm hesitant about mixing up an anniv. model.. and he mentioned chroming the stock pieces.. I'm leaning towards all new harley chrome ('cause I don't really trust aftermarket pieces in 'sealing' areas )... and it gives him the option of returning it to 'stock'.

Thoughts?

I'd powdercoat stuff black. The mix of black goes better with the natural engines than chrome would IMO.

I've got chrome cases on a silver 2002 FXD engine. I've received many good comments on the mix. But some chrome here and some there, I don't know. The alum. can be polished up to a pretty good luster.

I'd get some of the parts "black chromed."
On a silver/black anniversery bike, it would compliment the tins.
