Default So, Sputhe shipping and payment...

How's that work, exactly?

I finally got Alan's ear and I ~think~ I placed an order for my stabilizer. It seems to take him several days to get thru his emails so I haven't yet gotten a confirmation or anything.

I understand they ship COD?
That means I pay the shipper, right?
Will I have to take off work to be home when it arrives?
Does Alan provide good tracking/delivery scheduling?

Yes, you will have to pay in person who ever shows up. Kind of an archaic way of doing business with private individuals, it might work doing business with other businesses but not convenient for the working class. After talking with Spruth and finding out about this only option I bought a Trutrack because I could just click on PayPal and it is left in my mailbox. I think both products are similar enough that neither one is better than the other.

Is there a set shipper?
Do I need to have a specific kind of payment method available?

I bought a front and back set a few years ago from Alan, which was probably more complicated than for you guys because I'm in Australia, so he doesn't do COD overseas. I had to deposit USD cash into his little local bank account, which ended up involving forex trades an all sorts of stuff (mainly to avoid the crappy exchange rates and ridiculous fees my bank and his wanted for having to deal with crazy-looking foreign money).

While it's hard to get him to respond, he's a straight shooter, his stuff is great quality and it will eventually get to you.

Yes

Yes, USPS

No, USPS will leave a slip at your door, take that slip to the post office the
next day to pickup your parts and pay.
(4) Does Alan provide good tracking/delivery scheduling?
Old school, famous old guy motorcycle racer, sometimes. I have done
business with Alan by phone only, his parts are worth the
hassle...

Excellent. Thanks, Mike.

I've only contacted him via email. You know if I can expect a shipping confirmation of some type?

I would say give Alan a call to verify the transaction and shipping date/tracking info. It's worth your time to talk to Alan, the guy is a treasure.

Lol, Alan just emailed me. Said I would have the parts by end of the week.

Very excited! I've only got a few little things left on my shopping list.

This is going to sound really weird, but I bought a rear stabilizer several months back, and moved. I think I've located everything but maybe some of the hardware. Will you take a picture of everything included for the rear for me when you get your in? And maybe even bolt measurements and whatnot to help me
Out? It'd mean a lot. I really want to get it installed.

Thanks,
Charles
