I have also found myself looking at the new M8's a Road King actually. I always find myself saying two things, 1. I have the ability to ride long distance or short hop by changing seats, fairing etc and 2. My Super Glide is fun as hell and "paid for. But as someone else said, doesn't hurt to dream,

I think the 2018 Dyna's are going to be a completely different motorcycle compared to what we own. The modular frame from what rumors I have read could be a monoshock design. So that clear line between the Dyna, Softail, and Touring models might not be as distinct as it is now.
I worry about weight as well, Harley's M8 weighs more than a Twincam, it will need a bigger battery. If I was a betting man I would say a counterbalanced M8 Dyna will probably weigh in at 700 lbs.
If I'm correct, I will just hang on to what own now... Three months until introduction.

No doubt that the new bikes are awesome! I just bought my new Low Rider back in march, and I love the bike. Unfortunately, due to crappy weather and recovering from surgery, I haven't had much chance to ride the bike...it only has 108 miles on it! Anyway, I was at the Harley dealer yesterday, and they had a new CVO Breakout there. I loved the bike, but not the 25K price tag!

Running Hagon Nitro shocks. Increased the preload by 1 full turn and bumped up rebound by 1 click. Yup, fell in love again.
Just put on Bitubo WME shocks on my wife's FLD. In the manual it mentioned whenever the preload is increased, the dampening should be bumped up as well. It made a difference.
