Big bore Upgrade on my FXDWG
Can't seem to get this gizmo running the way I want. Got a vapor lock going. Thank you troll killer for the intro.
I ride a 2008 FXDWG. 105th Anniversary model. #1632 of the 2000 made.
I just did a 107 big bore upgrade on her. S&S 585 easy start cams, gear driven rather than chain,Power Commander IV, big sucker air set up, 58mm throttle body, Vance & Hines chrome pro pipe, XL oil pump, XL clutch spring, ported out with larger valves, and on and on. She will **** and git. She dislikes anything below 2,500RPM or less than 80MPH.

exactly what you paid for
no offense but it sounds like you got exactly what you paid for. hauls *** and makes an abundance of horsepower at a specific RPM. welcome to modified engines.you will probably be hearing engine sounds, feeling different vibrations, and basically just waiting for the big bang

The 585 cam, big valves, ported head, big throttle body are recipe ingredients for an engine that is strong above 2500-3000 RPM. If you want to spread your power more broadly over the RPM range, you may need a different cam. Also- with that extent of a rebuild you may need more than a PCIV alone to smooth-out the running.
