High Idle and FP3

Was riding today and noticed the idle started getting kind of high, then seemed to get stuck at 1400rpm.

Check engine light came on so I took it to the dealer under warranty. They said the air intake control sensor (may have massively misheard the actual name) went bad, so they replaced and sent me on my way.

Just wondering, any possible chance the FP3 could have caused that to fail? I'm thinking,no, but wasn't sure.

Also, I brought it in with my tune on the bike, I forgot what to do if they happened to reset it back to stock. Do I just hook it up again and reinstall, or will the FP3 be stuck thinking the tune is still on there. I have mustang tuning all in my head and am mixing it up with how the FP3 works. Don't want to brick the bike.

Any help is welcomed.

The fp3 would not cause fault.

Just hookup your fp3 to the bike and connect with your phone, have a look at the map section and it will show you the current map being used.
If they have put it back to stock just reload the map needed for your mods, they are a pretty good tuner.

Just picked the bike up, it's not fixed at all. I was able to muscle it home since the dealership is closed but I'm pulling code P0507.

They replaced the sensor but I guess that didn't do anything. Anything I should check?

Eh, I read through some related threads and will just let the dealer pick it up later this week. I'll report back on what it ended up being.

Appreciate the answer on the initial question.

Just pull the battery and main fuse out, this will reset the ECM, then see if that fixes it, otherwise, reload your stock map, and see if it changes anything, half an hour job to do.

Yeah I can try that, but I've had the same tune for about 8 months with no issues until yesterday.

Having the exact same issue with my wife's 2012 Fatboy Lo. V&H Fuelpak installed 2 years ago...no issues until returning home from MiracleRide...check engine light...P0507. Dealer replaced the sensor(?)....less than 30 mile ride...Check engine light burning bright..P0507 fault code displayed in Diagnostics. Going to check the Fuelpak codes...pull the main plug...disconnect the battery...but probably have to get it back to the dealer. Hoping it doesn't take another 3 weeks for the tech to get it back to her. Sucks.

Wow, 3 weeks to switch out the sensor? My dealer did it same day. They picked it back up Wednesday so I'll report back on if it's fixed and what caused it whenever they let me know.

For anyone who might stumble across this in the future, issue ended up being the stop screw in the throttle body. Not sure if it moved out or in, but apparently the throttle plate was never closing.

Rode it around town for a few hours today and all seemed to be resolved. Wish I saw where it was located so I could fix myself in the future if it happens again.
