Default Low Rider S horn relocation?

Anyone with an FXDLS relocate their horn yet? The factory mounted it between the frame downtubes and I think it's blocking airflow to the front cylinder. I want to move it but not to the usual place between the jugs on the left side as I might do a DKCustoms coil relocation. I guess I could just take the horn completely off as the few times I have been cut off etc., I forgot to honk the horn and just flipped them off. For some reason, honking the horn on a motorcycle is just not second nature for me as when driving my car. Any suggestions?

I like the "take it off completely option". The horn mounts in the same place as yours on my 14 FXDL. I made a new bracket to move it and then decided to leave it off. More air flow to the heads and bike is lighter, ha, ha. I taped the connections and stuffed them under the tank. I agree with you, car drivers don't listen to motorcycle horns.

I know when I went with my storz steering stabilizer, it came with a relocate bracket lower. You may be able to get it separately. Moving the horn for airflow is silly like tank lifts IMHO. Id just dump it. And may do that with mine. With the 2 bros, I hit the throttle before I ever hit a horn button.

I just sent a message off to Storz asking if the horn bracket can be purchased separately from the dampener kit.

As soon as I hear back, I'll post it here.

Default Low Rider S horn relocatiom

Gearhead,
Can you tell me how you installed the horn on the left side of your bike. I know i need the mounting bracket but where did you mount the bracket on the bike?
Thank You

Took it off completely. But added a WOLO inside the speed fairing.

I have been toying with the idea of removing it completely. If I install an oil cooler I would get a computer fan off amazon and wire it up with the horn wires for power that way I can kick it on at lights with the horn button. Just my thoughts for hopefully the near future.... other then that the horn only gets used once a year. Right b4 I leave to get the bike inspected. Like u said. It isn't second nature to use it. Never will be either.
