I started with the little stickers on the battery and fuse covers. Got SE plug wires then some of Harley's orange pinstripe paint for the horn and air cleaner covers. Today I had a pro do the derby cover and go over the stock red script on the tank.

Looks great! I have maroon'ish pin striping and HD lettering. Where can I find color plug wires like that - in maroon though?

 

I'm guessing here, but since those plug wires have "Screamin' Eagle" stamped on them, I imagine he got them from his dealer or ordered them from HD. Don't know if they make them in maroon though. It looks like they have red which may be close enough for you.

I added "a little more orange" myself by adding a second bike.

 

I put together my wife's bike with red accents. I picked up a tank on eBay with a maroon (burgundy) pinstripe. The plan was to go over the burgundy with red but after the bike was all put together I left it. I think it looks acceptable. But if your whole bike is done in maroon pinstripe I'm thinking stick with black plug wires. There is a forum member that plasti dipped his plug wire boots. Perhaps you can find some plasti dip for your wires. I don't know how the plasti dip holds up to heat but it may be worth a try if you can find your color.
