move to michigan!!! Had to sell some during hard times but I still got 3 ar's a an, and a couple 12 g's none of which are registered and they can't do anything about it!!! Since others are talkin about it, my preferred sidearms will always be glock 23, 45 hk usp compact, or beretta 92 depending on what I'm doing that day.

I've been at the AR game for years now, I love building them and taking them out to play; they're tinker toys for adults and just like an HD, can become uniquely configured.

With Michigan requiring all firearms under 26" to be registered as pistols I've gotten in to building AR pistols. Great fun to shoot! And, since they're registered as pistols they're legal to carry under the Michigan CPL cocked, locked, and ready to rock

Toys like this make for sweet vehicle weapons, you never know when you'll need a zombie/antifa/crowd dispersal firearm

Tin cup did you grab any of the dpms rifles when they were on sale? All the stores (in Michigan anyway) had em for about 400 with a 75.00 mail in rebate until middle August.

No, with the amount of stripped lowers and parts I've got I don't buy complete AR's unless it's an older or rare roll mark Colt but prices like a DPMS for 4 bills with a rebate is a great deal!

The AR, "Merica's firearm!

Sigh. I remember paying $1000 for a pre-ban (remember those?) Bushmaster lower. Then the AWB sunset, but glorious NY decided to keep it. Then that miserable F Cuomo slipped in the "SAFE" act after that sick kid shot up that school, and *poof* all pistol grip semi rifles, gone. 10 round magazine limits too. Forget pistols. You need a "justification" which means unless you're a millionaire or own a jewelry store - rejected. At least down where I am. It's a little better on permit issue upstate.

Again, I love NY. Cali has it slightly worse as I understand it though.

I estimate another year or two max before I move to a free state.

**** back in 2013 during the gun ban "scare" I paid 500 bucks for a rock river arms complete lower (something I can now build for about 200 bucks with a Nagpur ctr stock) cause I wanted to make sure I got one before they were banned. People at the gilbraltar gun/knife show were selling low end ar's for 1900. Dunno if they actually sold or not but I'm stockin up on em for the next weapons ban scare.
