All true, and to that last point we shall see but right now I'm inclined to keep it.

robbyville, basically you`re selling your bike for 9500. So to get a comparable ride you will need another 7 or 8 grand plus mods. Why not keep your Street Bob and buy a project bike like a older model sporty or dyna to mod and then flip. Just a thought.

You are using a word that I'm familiar with, but not when talking about motorcycles.

Can you please explain what "done" means? I've never heard of anyone being "done" with a motorcycle....

True enough! I guess I mean that there's very little that I want to do to the bike at this point since I don't intend to grow the engine again, replace wheels, etc.

To be honest, I think part of my problem is that I'm coming off an incredibly long summer, temps started in the 110+ range this past June basically every day of the week. I ended up doing my engine work and still not riding. Here we are end of September and I'm still doing break in work. Thankfully temps finally broke this past week, our mornings are now in the low 70's and high's of about 100 so riding weather is nice all morning long.

So the other day I got out for a nice 35 mile ride, cool enough to need my summer jacket and love the bike again. This Wednesday I'm heading out on a nice loop with a fellow rider who I met when I first moved out here. Going out to Idyllwild for anyone who knows where that is, should be about 100 mile loop or maybe a little more. I think I need that to find my love again!

Haha, sure do. Not too far away. Should be a nice ride up there. Beautiful day to ride out here.

I'll still own a shovel someday, but it will park next to my Dyna in the garage.
Something like this.... Keep the Dyna and find a nice old shovel to have as your project bike to work on for the next year or two!

I was reading the thread on the Red Thunder exhausts and saw Stres' video of his new pipe. Sounded great but I caught myself watching how the muffler was vibrating in such a way that it seemed like it was doing the "wave".

Decided that I wanted to see if mine did the same thing so here it is for giggles. Don't know how to edit videos to cut out superfluous moments yet.
