I think you're thinking of the '99, which did not have the adjustable cartridge fork (or four piston calipers up front). The 2000 had the upgraded suspension.

You're absolutely right; it was the 99s that didn't have the good suspension.

I like riding on twisty roads where cornering clearance is VERY important. Real riders know the importance of clearance. Those extra degrees mean you can push the bike further over before things scrape, carrying greater speed through the corner

Well really is no perfect answer to this question .. I will answer FXDX because I love how it handled .. But I have not rode every Dyna Model to where think am qualified to say what's truly best .. Personal Choice is a factor as well when comes to Handling , Some don't care for the Super Glide with the Sportster Front End like mine has , but I like it since Added the Progressive Standard Length Front Springs.. Is no Question the Best Handling Motorcycle Regardless of make I ever owned was my FXR4 .. Was also the best looking and got the most compliments as well .. But while the FXR is included in this Section is not truly a Dyna Model .. So FXDX gets my Vote ..
