Honestly, they probably need to invest further in the "Street" lineup to keep attracting newer buyers... The main problem I saw with the big bikes is that they're all around twenty grand.

If they really want younger riders, they really need to make a light frame that will accommodate people 6'+... My dad was 5'9". I'm 6'0". Both my kids are 6'2". My best friend is 6'4". Most of my coworkers are over 6'. It's no secret we're getting taller, as a society.

It's probably your fault. Did you do everything necessary to avoid this? You should've been smoking a MINIMUM of a pack a day at fourteen... In fact, with your family history, it probably should've been more than that, and probably at twelve... Think of all the cool little retro cafe bikes you would fit on now!

Yeah I agree with this. My girlfriend was shopping for a new bike to upgrade from her rebel 250 and considered both the sportster 883 and Street 750. They were both very heavy and lacked in performance compared to the metric equivalents.

She really wanted a HD but ended up with a used Suzuki S50 (VS800 intruder).

I 100% agree with this, I'm amazed they made the new ones smaller!

Read the specs. They did not make them smaller. They raised most for more cornering clearance. They made them lighter from about 16 lbs to 35 lbs by using more aluminium in place of steel. And one less cam of course.

I'm 6'3" 210 and my 18 Fat Bob S is a perfect fit. Some have less rake which very slightly shortened the wheelbase.

Because of the quick steering and overall improvement in agility they may feel smaller rather than the laborious handling and mirror blurring vibration that the 15 Fat Bob that I traded in on it had.

For those that said older riders won't buy them. Thanks I'm only 77. My single desired result of having a motorcycle is that it is a riders bike. Like my XR1200, Roadster, LRS, Buell XB12XT and the older FXSTs before they lowered them.

Agree on this even if not in the club .. 5'8" .. Have known several Bigger Riders that went with other makes because HD should at least have some options like a Tall Seat and way a to move the Controls to accommodate Taller Riders as an option, and not an expensive alternative to enjoy HD ..

I also have a EVO 1200 Sporty stage 1 , and I push her pretty hard...handles pretty damn good. Now my 2006 FXDI 35..... blows my Sporty away power and speed as well as the handling. I'm very impressed

Screw that. I’m hoping that they go broke for making these new shitty *** bikes. Then someone with a real sense of what Harley is buys the company and builds REAL Harleys. I’ll never give Harley another cent of mine until then.

It should be interesting the next few years, seeing if these new models save the sinking ship.
