Default Best Handlng Dyna

Which are the best handling Dyna? This is my opinion and what I have read.

1. Lowrider S
2. Fat Bob (second version 2014 to 17)
3. Street Bob SE (2014-16) the one with drag bar
4. Street Bob
5. Fat Bob (first version 2008-13)
6. Low Rider (newer version 2013 onwards)
7. Super Glide Sport
8. Switch Back

Give your feedback, thanks.

99-03? FXDX Super Glide Sport. The rest are just too low to have proper cornering clearance.

Also agree. In my opinion, 2002 was the best year.

Good suspension front and rear. Not all FXDX years had good suspension (2000 MY did not)

Forged crank with Timken left side bearing

4" stroke motor that isn't hot as hell or tries to shake itself apart. Also doesn't eat compensators

Carbed

Triple disk brakes

Mid mount controls

For the most part, no electronic geegaw BS. No linked brakes or ABS.

In 2001 HD did away with the fail prone cam position sensor

In late 2001 HD changed the rear cam bearing that was prone to failure

Dot 5 fluid that doesn't need to be changed very often

Speedo and tach up on the handlebar clamp where it belongs, not on the tank so you have to look down to see it

As far as Harleys go, not bloated with weight

Tensioners are the only knock, easily and cheaply fixable with Cyco shoes and some B148 inner cam bearings

I love my Road King, but if my garage caught fire, I'd tip it over to get my Dyna out.

Harley really had it going in the right direction with those 99-03 t sports, too bad they steered away from such a useful all purpose bike.

what does that have to do with handling? Nothing. Taking a corner is not the totality of handling. ..

"best" is a point of contention for me. There is no best. There's best for x rider.
