This is a rad thread!

Howard certainly does and I can attest to this as I just bought a set of Öhlins from him last week

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I need to get the open primary first so we can get that sorted out then I'll be hitting up Howard for some Ohlins piggyback's.

It has been a lot of trial and error so far, go figure, a bunch of sportbike parts dont just bolt right up. I still have a couple of things I need to do to get the front end and swingarm right, mainly getting a new steering stem and piviot shaft machined. Not a big deal and then the frontend and rear will be 100% ready to go. That will be a relief.

I also have some carbon fiber parts I will be bolting on, front fender, battery box, side cover etc. Koso dash we will be mounting with a shift light in a custom bracket on the handle bars. V-rod headlight. Jeeze....a million little things to do.

Well, hopefully I will have some pics of the body work in the next week or so.....

2003 cases survive without a torque arm, at your power level?

Many had a problem with 1994-5-6 cases at a much lower level than what you're at.

Looking forward to seeing the end product.

Belt vs. chain...

Since that rear tire you show isn't street legal, I'm thinking of a 6" drag slick for your power level. Might be good for your launch times too.

yeah, we'll see if the cases are up to it, they are S&S cases, not factory so I am confident they will be ok. When you start putting power to the ground you find out what is up to the task and what isn't!

I'll be running a chain for sure.

For a rear tire I'm pretty sure I will be running a shinko hook up, They got 6 second hayabusa's running that tire and it is the preferred tire in the grudge scene so I'll start with that and see what happens.
