Default Whats this plug for then?

Cleaning my bike today after the 1st ride of the year, i noticed this plug unconnected. Rode the bike, nothing appeared not to work.

Any ideas what it is for?

It looks like the active exhaust valve connector; it's used on some EU bikes. But I guess not in Scotland Like the active intake solenoid connector behind the A/C, tuck it up and out of the way...

Check out what Cvaria has posted an image of; that might be the protective cap mounted for the active exhaust connector to plug in to and be protected from the elements. On my '13 that connector has a cap, but it's hanging loose so I've got it tucked up under the seat.

You will get some brake line slack with the Big Brake caliper adapter; it might be enough <hope!> With my non-ABS and the caliper adapter I've got enough brake line to go another 2" in fork tube length but with you being ABS that length of brake line from the manifold might be a problem.

I wasn't trying to get an image of the caliper adapter in this shot, but you can see when the brake line ends up positioned with the caliper adapter.

Keep us posted!

On US bikes, that plug for the Actv Exh is unneeded; it is capped off and simply clipped onto the back of the A/C plate. On the EU bike with Actv Exh I would think there would be a matching receptacle for it somewhere nearby.....

If the wiring colors are Red/Green and Light Green/Violet it's the connector for the AIS (Air Intake System). If istalled the connector should fit in the backplate of the intake.

Check out this thread with images on the same subject.
