Default Cobra El Diablo on a Fat Bob

I have not been able to find anybody with these pipes on a Fat Bob so with a bit of imagination and a nudge from eBay (via a 20% off coupon last week) I bought a set.

Had been running a stock catless headpipe '09 Fat Bob with a set of Rush 2.25 baffle baloney cut slip-ons.

New exhaust sounds a bit quieter, but I think it is still louder than the same slip-ons with my stock catted head pipe. Probably the sweet spot for me.

These bolted up nicely. Heat shields lined up perfectly and the mounting bracket lined up perfectly with the muffler.

The ground clearance improvement is the real reason I wanted these. Even with the preload cranked full, with 270+lb in the saddle I was scraping on hard rights.

Gonna see what tune Fuel Moto suggests for these and dial it up on the Dynojet.

Too dark for good pics, but I will take some tomorrow on my lunch break.

I'll try to take some pics with a street light when I run a package to the post office later.

Got a set on my LRS, and so far they're pretty good. Always heard about the quality of Cobra pipes so I thought I would give them a shot. No real complaints, just wish they were a little longer.

I just overthink stuff probably, but visualizing my bike with that exhaust was not working for me based on what is out there, and while I can afford to be wrong, it's hard to convince the wife...

I really liked the Bub Lakester (though lean angle issue kept me from buying one) so the shorter look is good. Just wasn'tsure if the longer fender would look right. Only ever see it on LRS and club style bikes.

Anyway, I'm very happy. Performance difference seems negligible maybe a bit more of a midrange shift to the power band (not a bad thing for spirited riding IMO).

I'll have to take a ride up the mountain to get a feel for it on the twisties.

I noticed a bump in performance and smoothing out the engine when I upgraded. But I also had fuel moto send me a map that I'm sure is the reason why.

Just got my fuel map and loaded it this afternoon. Took a nice 10 mile loop by my house that has some nice sweeping curves, I think I'll be happy with this exhaust. It definitely builds revs more quickly and pulls out of the corner a bit harder.

Now I need to make the suspension more suited to my riding style I think.
