WARNING! Do NOT run a TBR pipe with Leather Pros Retro bags
Although the new V2 double heat shield solved the melting problem for the Bassani Road Rage and similar pipes, it isn’t big enough for the TBR pipe which exits further forward allowing the hot exhaust to blow directly at the front corner of the bag. We are working on an add-on deflector that should solve this problem, and will have it ready soon. In the meantime, tell everyone you know that has the TBR pipe about this. If their bag hasn’t melted yet, it is because they haven’t gone on a long enough ride yet.

OK, we have these ready to go now. They are on the “accessories” page of our website. We made them adjustable so you can push it out when the bags are in expanded mode, as shown in the bottom photo.
This should take care of the melting problem of the TBR, but Use caution and common sense when mounting your bags. You can’t have hot exhaust gases blowing directly at the fabric or plastic and expect it not to melt, especially on long extended rides on a hot day.
