I had the same issue on my '03 FXD in two years ago.
Here's a link to the thread I opened.
At first I thought the oily mess (see video) was caused from a leak at the shifter shaft

After cleaning the area between primary and gearbox it became obvious the oil came from the main shaft.

I agree with the others. If there's oil coming from above the pan then it could be the primary seal, mainshaft seal, shifter seal or a couple different gaskets. If you are really inclined to clean it up then you'll need to clean the entire area and take short rides until you see where the oil is originating from. I currently have this same issue but plan to clean it up to identify where it is coming from while monitoring my oil levels to make sure I don't run dry, then measure how much I'm losing to see how it goes. Don't think you have to start ordering gaskets and seals yet. An oil leak isn't the end of the word unless it's dripping on to your cylinders or exhaust.

Ok thanks everyone. Im gonna just monitor the oil leak since it isnt bad. Im still not sure if the oil leaking is from primary, engine or transmission. I been checking each one but the levels appear to be good.
