i’m looking to sell my 1999 dyna superglide sport (fxdx) it has 20,000 miles on it. mini apes internally wired. screamin eagle pipes. fresh tires/tubes. really clean bike. nothing at all is wrong with it. i’m not sure what price to let it go for. thoughts?
Nice looking bike and set up. Hard to say but NADA trade value should give a starting point. You can go a little higher on what the trade value is for a private sell. Yours is so nice that with the right buyer it might go for a little under retail.
The question is do you just want to sell it or do you have to sell it? If you have to sell it you have to price it right. If you just want to sell it it could take a long time since the used bike market is glutted with late model, low mileage bikes.
i don’t have to sell it. just curious go see if i could i guess. nada price was low. kbb was like 2-3 grand more. i’d let it go for $8500 obo. clean and clear title.
For $8500 around here you can get your pick of 10 year old bikes, and even newer than that. An example of a nice bike like yours would bring $4500 to $6000 max.
I can buy a 2013 110th Anniversary Super Glide Custom with ABS, security system, V&H pipes, fuel processor, and only 3800 miles, right now, for $8500 from a local indy dealer. If you can get $4,000 for your bike, you did good. Sorry, but that's just the way things are right now.
