I am in the same boat. I pulled mine off as well. I cut the recurve lip off my shield and it helped but at just over 12'' now, it is too short. I think a 14 or 16 will make it work much better... the thought of dropping another ~150 on a shield without knowing fully whether it will make the fairing usable is a tough pill to swallow.

I feel the same. By the time I make this fairing usable, I may have spent the same as I would have if I just got a brand name faring to begin with.

Def over-tightened but a little over shouldn't cause the product to break. Poor design and or materials.

What size is the windshield you have and how much to ship to 20165?

You're pretty far from me so it might not be worth it.

It'll probably cost me $25-$30 just to ship it that far. So maybe $60. $30 more you could just buy a new one.

Conley's are $600 and the USA Trailer is $350. I'm not sure a $90 fairing and a $110 windshield comes very close to those prices, especially when you can pick both the color and height of the windshield. Conley let's you pick from three heights and two colored glass but USA trailer only has the dark windshield and three heights. I guess Burly and Memphis Shades sell them for around $300 but they don't make a T-Sport. They only sell dark windshield in three heights as well.

If you're looking for a better option I've had one from The USA trailer store which was better quality. You can get it in 12",14", or 16"

It's actually thick fiberglass. I went down and put a big gash in it which I'll probably repair at a later date but I went ahead with the Krator version.

Ya, the USA trailer version come primered too so you have to pay for it to be painted. I paid $200 to get mine painted that's another reason why I ended up with the Krator version.

2003 dyna low rider

hey looking to put this on a 2003 low rider but its not a direct bolt up. Wondering if anyone has put this fairing on an older dyna? Anyone successfully put one of these on an older dyna?
Thanks

Who’s running audio with this t sport fairing? Plex looks nice, but $800 for $200 worth of speakers and an amp? I’ve been thinking about try to fit a wedge setup from a Jeep in there.

So I’ve officially put 1,500 miles on this fairing and this is my quick review so far.

1.It’s rock solid. I used loctite on every single fastener and it hasn’t budged. The painted hardware for the windshield that came with it is super cheesy so I picked up some stainless hardware to replace it. No big deal. I bolt checked the whole thing a few times over the past 2 months and everything stayed tight.

2.The wind protection is a game changer especially on cold mornings.

3. The buffetting is not as bad as I expected. Definitely tolerable when it’s there but Its not all the time as it seems to come and go at high speeds. Maybe I’m the just perfect height to avoid it

Based on my limited experience, I love this fairing. If you’re on the fence about a t-sport fairing I can’t recommend this one enough. Dollar for dollar it’s hard to find a better upgrade.

Latest pics. Fairing is holding up well. I average 500 miles per week. Added some bags as well.
