So I bought the JD Customs headlight mounting bracket thinking it was the only one out there for my application but then found another bracket being sold by altered_industries on EBay. JD costs $71 after tax and shipping and altereds costs $25 after shipping. I could tell the altered one might work better for me because the JD Customs one had to be mounted on the bottom of the tree and the altered one looked like it could be mounted on top or bottom with the same geometry for the headlight bracket. So first, comparisons:
The shape of the JD Customs bracket (bottom) certainly makes it so that the headlight bucket can't mount to the bracket unless the bracket is mounted to the bottom of the tree. I didn't like this as I have a tool bag on my tree and I don't want it rubbing on the bracket. Second, right off I noticed on the altered bracket (top) the bucket mount is adjustable:
When the mounting holes are lined up there is about a half inch of adjustment space forward and back on the altered bracket over the JD Customs bracket. Other than shape and mounting capabilities there were a couple more differences. The JD Customs bracket is spray painted while the altered bracket is powder coated. The spray paint is thin and easily damaged on the JD Customs bracket but the JD Customs bracket is all steel while the altered bracket is cast aluminum.
The mounting hole for the JD Customs bracket is a through hole that requires the bolt and locking nut they supply. Very easy and straight forward to mount while the altered bracket has a threaded hold that uses the stock mounting hardware. The powder coating did get in the threads of the mounting hole though making it somewhat difficult to get the threads to line up properly and took a bit of muscling to get the bolt down tight enough where the bracket wouldn't move while mounted. I ended up using the altered bracket for my end installation mainly to avoid having to mount it under the tree, but both of these brackets have their best use cases.

JD Customs or Rifle are your only options unfortunately. They do make multiple sizes and offer them in clear as well though
