I would but there’s only a half quart left in it from topping it off initially. Otherwise I would, I just opted to start fresh and change the oil though. Much better piece of mind now and I can track how this oil does until the 5k service too.

So to continue this little saga, I went for a ride last night and checked the oil, COLD, and was at full HOT level. WTF. I thought, ehh, maybe it's not fully circulated, etc. Let me ride and then check it again once I'm home.

Proceeded to and was FULL +, so back to the siphoning oil out again game until I reached the FULL-COLD level today on a cold engine.

Moral of the story, on a drain and fill from jiffy stand, and HD oil cooler, no way in hell it drains out near 2.5 qts. maybe 2qts. At normal/proper COLD-FULL now, so after next ride will check once the bike's hot.

... and the drain plugs are 20 INCH lbs... not foot lbs... as you noted, almost too late

Yes correct! One more question, should I pull or replace plugs now to check and ensure they’re good after this episode, of so what type plugs? I started it yesterday and let it warm up a few minutes, and it chugged and almost choked and stopped, but recovered fine. It NEVER does that.

I would say if they are not leaking right now, enjoy riding it... unless you got a bit more shavings than you mentioned... then.. yeah, I'd drop the plugs to make sure there weren't any internal shavings as well, and inspect the threads really good. Maybe chase the threads with the appropriate tap, if they're not too bad.

No I meant in terms of running with too much oil, drain plug is good to go and I’ll be extra careful from now on there, manual job no more torque wrench there.

NEVER use a torque wrench to tighten your oil plug...snug it up and then give an extra twist w/socket. Torquing the plug is asking to strip threads...

Yeah, never again! Did it once, first and last time.
