Hi all...so this is my very first Harley (rode sport bikes for years) but to the point, I am looking for a sissy bar to put on my newly acquired '08 Dyna Fat Bob. To be completely honest, I don't know the difference between this and the Street Bob or Fat Boy...I don't know what sissy bar will fit that may fit other models lol. In other words...if it fits a Heritage...I don't know if it will fit my Fat Bob (I would assume not since it is a different model). I am not having a lot of luck finding a sissy bar for the Fat Bob unless I am just not seeing what I am supposed to be seeing. I would like a flat black...even textured flat back better with little or not chrome on it and a nice WIDE pad and not too tall.
Something like this one but this one will not fit...like pretty much all of them I am seeing.
Thanks for any help everyone!

Forget the Fat Boy and Heritage, they are Softails and you have a Dyna. Anything for the rear frame should fit Dynas from 2006 to 2017. But just check with the vendor to make sure.

I will limit my search to just the Dyna models from '06 to '17...that at least gives me some more specific stuff to look at. Sorry for such a mundane question, this being my first...I want to make sure I am doing it right lol. I got this on a partial trade for a 1978 Bronco build I did, figure I am only "giving" about $3k for it in the trade so seems like a good deal to me...just over 31k miles.
You can't just stick any sissy bar for a Dyna on a Fat Bob, the rear fender and struts are wider than everything but a Wide Glide. It'll be tough to find exactly what you're looking for, but I promise you, it's out there. Harley has some decent options for what you're looking for, as well as a bunch of other manufacturers. Good luck in the search, but always make sure it'll fit a Fat Bob before purchasing, all Dynas are not the same.

That's good to know, thanks for clearing that up. I was doing exactly what you are saying to NOT do lol...I hope I didn't get one of "those bikes" that are hard as hell to get any accessories or after market goodies for lol...still for the price, I won't complain too loud. Thanks again!

Nah, there's plenty out there for our bikes if you know where to look. Yes, it's one of the more rare Dynas out there, but I love that I've never seen another Fat Bob where I live. A lot of die hard HD fanboys hated on Fat Bobs because they didn't like the twin headlights or the rear fender. I'm not a huge fan of the fender, but the rest of this bike looks great to me, and the fact that it wasn't crazy popular means that I'm riding something uniquely mine. Plus, it's arguably one of the best handling Dynas HD made. Enjoy it.

Thanks man, I just have to keep shopping around I guess lol...I am scratching through a mountain of HD stuff trying to find what fits THIS bike lol
