Power Commander settings on Street Bob 2007
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...9d391ad8d.jpeg Hello I am new to the forum and recently bought my first Harley, a Street Bob 2007 I am getting to know the bike and doing so I have read the setting of the power commander In the text field it says that the settings are for stock inlet and exhaust. My bike has a screamin eagle inlet and Vance & Hinse big shots staggered exhaust. I have compared the maps for what is on my bike and what the maps for the Screamin Eagle and V&H and they are clearly not the same. What I don’t know is if there are any manual changes made. Should I upload the Dynajet settings found on their website for my system? is there any risk in doing so? i have understood making the setting too lean can be dangerous All inputs appreciated :-) |
If you're still stock map settings, then you are already too lean (in the lower throttle settings.)
Oddly, the factory settings are "way too fat" at WFO in the mid to high RPM ranges. This is to keep the topend from overheating as gas keeps it cooler. Instead of guessing, of taking an upload that'll only get you 90% of optimum (at best.) I'd say go find a bonafide tuner in your area. PC's are used on sportbikes too, so look for one of those people that prep track bikes. But, be prepared. You're going to be amazed at the change that PC's can make when done right. Case in point~ I went from 152HP to 183HP from stock to "tuned." |

I was thinking the PC5 as that looked to be the closest match. Thanks Do you ALREADY have a Power Commander? If so, Which one? Whichever one you have (PC3 or PC5), there is a MAP for your configuration . |
Yes sorry my reply was strange as I misread your reply, sorry about that.
As you can see in my original post the bike has a PC III USB The MAP on it is according to the download from the PC III in to my laptop the Dynojet "814-001" MAP file for PC III Looking at the MAP list I believe I should have the "814-003" or "814-005" MAP on the PC III The reason for not immediately downloading and flashing the "814-005" to my PC III is that the bike actually runs OK from what I can tell and the person who owned the bike before me had no issue with it (We still ride together) I am concerned a new MAP may make settings too lean which I have Heard is very bad for these Engines. I am new to Harley and has a lot to learn. Again many thanks for your helpful replies. /Anders |
