Night Dragons will beat the CMII's in every way except for mileage. Both are good tires. If I lived where it never rained much I would probably go for CMII's, but I don't like them in the rain.

I run the Night Dragons. Unquestionably offer better grip and handling, at the expense of high mileage. I may be wrong, but I think these are the grippiest tires you can get. No experience with the CMII's.

I run CMII's and in dry west Texas they are great. I am not a fan of the wet weather traction/handling they give for me. But take that with a grain of salt, my wet weather riding is very limited so my confidence in those conditions isn't great anyway.

I also run the MCII's and I like them a lot. Great tire if you want a tire to last. The only issue I have is they aren't that sticky at all. I can't get the back tire to hook to save my life. I would have run the Night Dragons if they had my size in stock. My brother is a master tech at Harley and swears by them

I've had a set of Commander IIs for about a year now. They wear great and I can scrape the pegs with them, so no issues with traction. I've not noticed any issues with wet traction, but I also don't push the bike as hard in wet weather. I did run through some heavy rain on a highway trip and had no issues (going in a straight line at 75 mph). I don't doubt that the Night Dragons are stickier, but the Commander II are sticky enough for me, and will last longer. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

I have used both on my 2008 Street Bob. The night dragons seemed to have better grip than the Michelins did. I did however use 180 Night dragons as opposed to 160 Michelins. I was able to use 180 Dragons because they were lower profile. They also seemed to have a smoother ride but that could be because they were wider.

I'd also consider the Avon Storm 3D XM. I've used up a few sets on my Street Bob, and have been very happy with 'em.
