The standard aux lights can't really be mounted with a fairing or windshield. I ended up getting an engine guard to mount them on, used peg mounts, an aux switch on my fork bag, and some LEDs that can mount to anything. It gives you a lot of selection on lights.

I've seen LED light bars attached to the bottom triple clamp on Dynas. Custom Dynamics might have something.
I do know Baja Designs does have LED lamps, but they're not cheap. (They aren't junk either.)
They're very durable.

I mounted a 40 watt led light bar under the bottom triple clamp using the headlight bolt, it’s a combo beam spot and spread, really pleased with the light it puts out.

I put them on to be ditch spotters on the highway in the dark. It mostly depends on what type of light you get, spot, spread, fog as to what it illiminates. Higher up probably gives a little better angle but I don't imagine 6 inches higher is going to make much of a difference.

I mounted two Baja driving lights on a plate mounted to the bottom triple clamp, angled them out so that about 30yds out they pointed into the ditches. I've since changed my front end, and will be using a standard softtail light bar to add 'ditch lights' back to the bike.

Literally everyone does this light bar under the triple tree. Moons MC sells them for way too much or you can buy a two pack on Amazon for $12, make your choice.

I used to have a fatboy aux light bar and lights on my dyna. You can fit it easy using the Kuryakin fork clamps.(49 mm for a 2010)
