Fat bob front end on Wide glide?

Don't know how relevant this is, but I did a sort of hybrid with a Wide Glide upper half and a Fat Bob lower half. Also did longer rear shocks, cartridges, and Lyndall Extreme brake pads at the same time. Front tire is a 150/80-17 on a lightweight rim.
The brakes and straight line tracking are a huge improvement but the steering is heavier. Ride isn't really a comparison since the springs and dampers are "custom".
