The Dunlop GT502 and Michelin Scorcher 31 are permitted on 4.5 Rims and are in fact supplied by Harley as original and Replacement Tires for the 4.5" Rim on Dyna WG

Also, here's the Fitment Spec for the Night Dragon ... 4.5" permitted

I stand corrected, the info I was using for the Scorcher was from a tire supplier site as Michelin doesn't list a spec on their site, at least that I could find & I wasn't aware that they were standard on the WG. The info for the 502 was taken from the Dunlop web site, thanks for the info.

Dunlop Site shows only one recommended size, but not the Size Range for that tire size (but Tires typically have a "Range"). You can get it to show the 502 as for the 4.5" on the Dunlop Site though

Also here's the MoCo's "Rear" List ...

Default 2012 super glide *200 rear tire

A 200 will fit a 2012 superglide no problems and no modifications, it came from factory with 160

Not with a stock wheel. Needs at least a 5.5" width

I will rephrase my previous post. I OWN a 2012 Dyna, with STOCK rear wheel and a 200 tire fits just fine. I have done NO modification. Factual knowledge. Keep flipping a catalog crusader1xxx.

Get back in line, kid. Crusader has a nice custom done right that's way beyond catalog bolt-ons.

Pinching and stretching tires isn't new. We've had that discussion many times and it's not for everybody. If you want to recommend it, at least mention that it's outside the scope of the tire manufacturer's recommendation so people can make a more informed decision.

Last year I was looking for a wider rear rim on ebay....found one listed as FXDB street bob 5.5" wide. I emailed and the seller quickly said yes 5.5"

I emailed back and asked him to send a pic of the size stamped on the rim......4.5" He was PO'ed and stated he measures to the outside of the rim and a 200mm came of it and a 200mm will be on it again....?

If I ask someone knowledgeable a question I listen. Then research and decide. If I don't believe even the tire manufacturer then I'm an idiot!

Blue Bob, the eBay Seller should have been PO'ed at himself for not knowing any better

And like Chris says, what someone chooses to do for themselves is different than Preaching like it's the Gospel. Unfortunately, most people who would be asking the question may not know enough to discern the difference
