Get some air shocks off an older touring bike. The ride is fantastic and you can adjust the stiffness for riding solo or 2 up.

I have ran progressive 412 11" on 3 different dynas. They make the bike look great, and I ride 2 up without any issues.
I tried the burley slammers once, the extra .5 shorter just didn't work out well. 11"s are great.

they never were IMO lol Öhlins is the gold standard but other companies make great products. 12 is short enough you risk bottoming out constantly. I had a friend who rode with 10s rode like **** and the constant bottoming out tore his rear wiring harness up lol*
