Emblem placement opinions wanted
OK, I will do it the way i like once I test place them on the bike, but for now I just want opinions.
I'm getting ready to place these emblems on the bike's tank. Some are placed lower and some higher(more in the middle). Which way do you think looks best?
Here are some examples:

Probably middle angled or level. Roll some duct tape inside out to stick the emblems on the tank in different locations until it looks right to you.

Definitely the middle/horizontal position for me. Artistically, the placement on the on the red and cream tank above gets it about perfect by the "rule of thirds" artists and photographers use,
I've always liked that Harley badge. Looks to me like a flying Sun Wheel, a very ancient symbol indeed, representing the path of the sun from east to west, and the cross directions to north and south.
It's the basis of the compass rose and speaks perfectly to a motorcycle's purpose to it's rider.

The shooting stars were placed horizontal and a bit forward on the 1961 duo glides. Thats what I was trying to emulate on my bike. If you google you can find some restorations with the badges angled, to me they look off. Anyway if you screw the badge to the backing plate you can move the badge around your tank and find the best spot so as the badge has no uneven gaps due to the curves of the tank and badge.
