Default 1996 wide glide general question

Hello I am going to be changing my grips and clutch and brake levers I know that someone told me to lube the pins on the handles up and lube clutch cable what do I use? Is their a certain lube? Also is their a special spray for the rubber boots for the idle and throttle cables and clutch adjuster boot too keep it from turning inside out? Thanks guys

For the cable I use the light oil that comes in the pin oiler you can get from HD … WD40 or any good lube will work for the pivot pins … you can also use WD to make the rubber boots easier to slide …

be careful when changing the front brake lever … it is very easy to break the front brake light switch unless you shim the lever before removing or loosening the front master cylinder … I use a penny and it works fine

I use bearing grease on the pivots and dri-slide on the cables.
