That rear master cylinder/cover (with two screws on top) is buried in there. If I have to remove the exhaust just to add brake fluid I think I'm going to lose my mind - lol!

When I did a fluid service on mine, I was able to get a long thin screwdriver down there with no issue but that may depend on your exhaust. I also used a long thin funnel to reach down to it to re-fill it.

I used a little masking tape to hold the screw to the screwdriver so I could fish it down and back into its hole to get the cover back on.

I wish mine was that easy.

Does the master cylinder cover have to be back on there while I pump the rear brake/bleed the brake?

I had the brake light switch on mine go out. Dealer had to order it of course. When I went to pick it up I mentioned how I was going to have to figure out how to get that cover off so I could bleed the brakes since the pedal was a little spongy. One of the mechanics was up front and said he would do it. No big deal, just pay for the fluid. 20 minutes later bike was back and proper.

I asked him how he did it and he replied "it's not something they teach you, look at the job and your toolbox and it will be simple." $%%%! Well for a Jackson total; part, fluid and labor, I wasn't going to push it.

Since then on one of my bikes, I can get to the fasteners with an offset driver. The other one, I use a thin shaft with the proper tip. something like: -----== That makes it past the swingarm but still kinda makes a proper purchase on the fastener. Once the cover is off I use a horse syringe with a hose to add remove fluid.

That looks exactly like what I use. Sourced mine from Tractor Supply.

It depends on the exhaust. My cover is practically flapping in the breeze but I have really stubby pipes that stand off to the RH side quite a bit. Pretty sure I could remove my cover with a stubby screwdriver.

Sounds like a pain. Plenty of room behind my 2 into 1 pipe.

...But I do wish the Bassani clamp was a little bit wider. Not a big deal, but I hate seeing the end of the slot. If I move the clamp forward, it exposes the other end (which exhaust leaks out of).

Those band clamps are available in several styles and widths. Not sure what diameter your collector is, but here is a stainless 2.5" from Dynomax. (Plenty of other options available)

Have you ever "pumped" your front brake with the cover off? Don't do it!
