Default Street Bob Tanks 2011 & 2017

HI all. I'm having trouble finding info if the 2011 tank and 2017 tank are identical.
Reason is, I want to take the dash console from a 2017 and put it on my 11 so I've got the igntion on the console. Can anyone help out here and tell me if the console from 17 is a direct fit.

Cheers

When i had my 11 street bob i used a hole saw and cut a hole in the console. Then fabbed a bracket and bolted the ignition to. I got a rubber grommet to go around the hole. I also used a black ignition switch.

I saw that option as well mate. Was just thinking if they were exact same tank would be real easy to just swap over. Cant find specs on tanks though, so dont know if it's a straight fit

With the switch on the console, will you have to still use the key on the frame to turn on the ignition? Or you can do that directly on the console switch?

Ignition will be wired to console and no longer on frame. You can still use key on frame for steering lock though

I have an 2008 Street Bob. My steering lock never worked. I am switching to a Low Rider tank & console (I want the tank mounted tach). I would like to modify my bike so the ignition key is not on the frame. What other parts do I need?

I'm trying to do the same thing. The 2011 ignition is on the frame.
you can cut a hole on the console and do it that way, but I just want to swap the console for a year that already has that setup.

According to Ronnies online fische: 2011 Street Bob tank in vivid black PN: 61018-10DH. 2017 Street Bob tank in vivid black PN: 61000172DH. So no, they're not exactly the same. That still doesn't mean the consoles won't swap. Good luck with it.
