Default Tank Lift

I have a 2" tank lift, but only on the front of the tank. I like the way the bike looks w/ the tank slightly angled. When people talk about a tank lift do they mean just the front or front and rear? Will I gain additional cooling by lifting the rear of the tank as well?

I did the front only for the looks. I had to remove it do to the earlier split tank design and there being fuel in the tank I couldn't use because of the angle.
It does improve air flow that increases cooling. Raising the rear helps more but I wouldn't go as high because the seat and rear of the tank won't "flow".
It also aids in the cleaning of the top of the rocker boxes.

i have 2" front and 1" rear, via a drill into the lugs. It is a tight fit with the existing seat right enough

i like the look, and indeed the cleaning is possible for my 'plates of meat'

would suppose the engine will cool quicker on the move

Also as a side, i have the DKCustoms coil relocation which helps even more the airflow at the rear

I like the way your 2" front 1" rear looks - especially being able to clean the back rocker cover. I have not relocated the coil yet but plan to do so.

Does the 1' lift in the rear help with accessing all of the fuel?

Its diificult to tell. Many say that the gauges are not very accurate.

i have got down to 18 miles remaining on the gauge, before a refuel

the feeder connection is fairly rear on the left, so i wouldnt think the new induced angle has much effect

2” lift front only. I don’t have much info to add on cooling or usable fuel numbers. But I haven’t had any heat related issues, love the look, and at full fuel, my readout says approx. 200 miles to empty. The connecting fuel hose underneath is at its limit with this tank lift.

1.5 “ in the front, 1” at the back. Before and after. As stated, love the look, easy to clean, no issues with the seat. The crossover line in front is stretched but again no issues.
You can DIY, just take a look thru the forums.
