2016 low rider s pricing
#11
I picked up my '17 FXDLS in October for $14,900 + tax/tag/title from a dealer here in central FL. Most of them around here are priced 17-18 as well, and don't seem to sit for long at that asking price. Most dealers did not want to move much from that initial asking price when I was in the market to buy, but luckily I found this one at a small dealer with a clientele more interested in trikes and baggers. Since you are essentially at the same price point, I would agree with other posters and suggest you test ride some 114 M8 softails and compare if you haven't. I rode the '18s at a demo day earlier in the year and still loved the Low Rider S more, so went with that.

I was ready to buy as soon as I saw one at the Chicago Motorcycle Show in February 2016. So I paid full retail then. I probably could have paid less later on as my dealer had one on the floor into the late summer. It is surprising that any bike holds its value this well in the current motorcycle market, especially the Harley market.

I road my buddies street bob and thought it was a nice ride. To me an extra 4k for a screaming eagle 110 motor sounds like a good deal thats why I was considering it. I also like the bronze mag wheels the bike comes with and the small other details.

Buy the bike you really want, you'll only end up regretting it if you don't. It's not just the 110 motor. You also get twin discs up front, cruise control, better suspension, and the best looking bike Harley have ever made. Turning a standard Low Rider into an S is going to end up costing a lot more than $4k.

As I've stated in previous posts, I like the peanut butter gold poo wheels. Give's it that 80s vibe and sets the bike apart from the other black/chrome standard rims. Now only if 'Members Only' made motorcycle jackets.......

I traded my 16' FXDF and got my 18' FLHCS for $17k and change, out the door, 3k mi, cruise and ABS. Fit my needs better, now I have a bike that's worth twice what I owe and fits what I wanted. Too much if you ask me, better options out there but a cool bike, and still a true dyna so there's that

That's about right pricing. They are nice bikes and those newer 103s had nice smooth power. The problem is they did away with them with the 18s right? When they merged the softail and dyna together basically. That means no more to make and prices are going to most likely hold strong for awhile.
