Default 2007 FXD vs 2010 Wide Glide

I'm looking at either purchasing a 2010 Wide Glide or a 2007 FXD. Any suggestions? Wide glide has a stud on the exhaust head sheared off? FXD as far as I know is fine and has no problems besides probably being not ridden enough XD

Welcome to the site.

I'd take the FXD.
But, i'm partial to them as I had one for 21 years.
Wish I didn't trade it in...

Super glide is a great bike. But the wide glide is the one for me. The big question is which one do you like? Good luck with it!

The best way for you to know for sure is to ride both. Everybody has their likes and dislikes, and both are good bikes but not the same. The only opinion that matters is yours.

What are riding differences (apart from the rake, i know that bit).
i have a WG, which i bought because i thought it would be the only HD bike i can ride for my height, hence, in reality, a not very broad riding knowledge

Thanks for the advice guys. Tbh I've always loved the look of the WG but it is an older model so don't know if that specific year has had problems. With the FXD seems like a beautiful bike but it's an out of state transfer.

Wide glide is forward controls...fxd is mid? If so, that should factor somewhat into your decision making.
