Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by bumping this thread to the top so much, but I figure if this thread stays on the first page then I am plugging away at this bike. This bike has sat too long.
Today I took the right front blinker back off and set up to wire it(blinker relocation from the handlebars), and the headlight wiring too. I sat the trusty drum stool by the bike to start on that handlebar control wiring on the right side. My knee is hurting and does not want to support my weight so this may all that gets done today.
I did get the new spark plugs in using anti-sieze and dialectric grease. One less thing to do.

The left rear blinker wiring is very close to the tire due to the 180/55 tire I put on there. I think it will be ok, but I'm thinking about putting this tail light on there with the integrated turn signals to simplify the wiring. Also thinking about removing the chrome rear fender strut covers so the missing rear blinkers wont be as obvious on the black struts - maybe.
Just a thought:...

Edit: I got the right turn signal installed. I was able to run the three wires through the blinker mounting stud and then through a hole on top of the mounting bracket. Even though the hole has smooth edges I put some heat shrink tubing on the wires where it comes in contact. I think this looks better than the wires hanging from the blinker housing.
Edit 2: I think this looks a little better/more professional:...
Edit 3: This is the best I know how to do. Hey, I have an idea,...wireless blinkers! LoL!

Update: The new taillight with integrated blinkers has been ordered also a chrome cover piece to cover the holes after removing the rear blinkers. I am ordering fork tube ring led dual function blinkers for the front. These will wrap around the fork tubes. The running lights on these will be white and they will blink yellow. All of the stock blinkers will probably be removed tonight.
Stay tuned and thanks for watching!

This has been ordered:

Edit: the lower/rear shock bolts have to be removed so the rear wheel can be lowered so the bolts and wiring for the blinkers can be accessed. I will do that tonight.
Edit 2: I got all the blinkers off, damn, this bike is a pluckin mess

I was in j&p about a month ago and they had the brightest led's for the bullet lights and I'm sure which ones they were by looking online and in magazine so I called them and their person was clueless as a tick on a turd! Especially since I told the person it was a lighted display on the sales floor to the right of the rear counter looking towards the entrance!
Ditdadah!

I have to pull all four carburetors off the Kaw then take them completely apart, clean, assemble, synch them. Yay me! That bike is next after this one. Sure wish my shop was bigger I'd work on them both.
I installed a new o ring, torqued the drain plug, filled it with 1 quart of Red Line Primary Oil, and installed a new finned derby cover (for now).
Here is a sneak peek at how the chrome upper rocker covers look. The new gaskets are installed and the bolts are started. It will have to do until I get to the lower ones too.
