I found that you had to balance the weight out in the bags as they would slip a little bit. Not much but I noticed it.
With them hard mounted you can put what ever you want in and not worry about it slipping..

Keep in mind that I didn't have a pad on my fender for them to grip on.

I would just like to say that those Arlen ness led rear turns are total crap IMO. One quit working i think it's an internal wiring problem. Maybe they should make them better I don't know.


Anyway I ordered a new oem set of rear turn signal assemblies and a pair of these:

Are those the dual lens mirrors? Have you ridden with them yet? Wondering how they function.

Yes they are the split vision mirrors by HD. I have not ridden with them yet. I will post back with a full ride report.

They're good mirrors, enables you to see a wider vision behind you. Just got to double check when lane shifting as vehicles are closer than they seem.

I'm going in a different direction with this bike as was originally planned as it looks like this may be my main transportation for a while. It's been a while since this happened. I remember having a 1986 Honda CB700 Nighthawk as my main transportation for three years straight. It's a lifestyle change for sure.

Man you'll be fine in Chucktown, weather is good there year around for riding...

Did you get a chance to look at the back side of your mirrors for the powder coat or pai t?
